Clock times · not a calorie target

Eating window on your actual day.

14:10, 16:8, 18:6, or custom. Calories still live on TDEE / deficit pages.

Eat

1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

16 h fast / 8 h eat

Window

Fasting is a schedule, not a calorie target. Use the TDEE calculator and deficit calculator for energy. Do not fast if you’re pregnant, underweight, have a history of disordered eating, or use glucose-lowering meds unless a clinician has signed off.

14:10 vs 16:8 vs 18:6

The first number is fasting hours, the second is eating hours. We place the eating window so the last meal sits a set number of hours before bed, then count backward. Custom hours are fine.

Fasting ≠ calorie target

You can overeat inside an 8-hour window. Calories stay on the TDEE calculator and deficit calculator.

Who should not fast

Pregnancy, underweight, eating-disorder history, some medications, and anyone a clinician has told not to skip meals. If that is you, ignore this planner.

Do not use fasting windows if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, underweight, have a history of disordered eating, or take glucose-lowering medication unless a clinician has agreed. This planner does not set calories.
